EHS Policy

7.0 LEADERSHIP AND COMMITMENT
(ISO 14001:2015 – CLAUE 5.1 & ISO 45001:2018 – CLAUSE 5.1)

The Leadership of the TaeguTec India is committed to be amongst the Leaders in various spheres of activities in the geography they are present. Their desire is making this movement sustainable. To ensure sustainable development, decision is taken to implement effective systems on Environmental, Health & Safety. Also, the leadership of Taegu Tec India is committed to successfully combine various best practices towards Operation, Quality, Sustainability, Safety while managing the business. It recognizes Sustainability and Safety are very critical for the long-term success of the organization. Leadership of Taegutec committed to the development and implementation of the Environmental, Health & Safety Management System and continually improving its effectiveness. It taken complete accountability for the effectiveness of the integrated EHS system. This is done by Communicating the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements to the employees of the organizations through meetings and newsletters. The EHS Policy of the organization is derived by the Management and communicated to all employees of the organization to create awareness and alignment. The organization has established its Vision, Strategic Direction and Business Direction to all the stakeholders. To achieve the Vision, EHS Policy of organization, EHS objectives are arrived, and it is further split into departmental objectives and communicated to all the functions of the organization. The status on the attainment of these objectives are monitored through the periodical review meetings and Management review meetings.

Management Review meetings are conducted once in 6 months a year to see the continuing suitability and effectiveness of the EHS System regarding ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018– Standards. During the management review meetings, the requirement and availability of existing and additional resources are discussed. The leaders engage, direct and support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the Integrated EHS system and promote continual improvement.

The leaders develop, lead and promote a culture in the organization that supports the intended outcomes of the EHS system and protect the workers from reprisals when reporting incidents, hazards, risks and opportunities. They ensure that the organization establishes and implement processes for consultation and articipation of workers and support an effective functioning of the EHS committee.

The Management has appointed Dr. N. Ramesh – Head Quality as “Management Representative” to fulfill the requirement of EHS system standard. He is authorized to organize and co-ordinate the implementation and maintenance of EHS system in TaeguTec India P Limited and to monitor its continuing suitability. He also reports on the performance of the quality system to the management for review as a basis for improvement of quality system. He liaises with external parties in matters relating to EHS systems. He also involves in understanding and implementation of customer specific system requirements.

7.0 ESTABLISHING ENVRIONMENT, OH & S POLICY

It is extremely critical for the management of TaeguTec to align and embrace Effective Risk Management Strategies on all its operational and Key decision-making processes. To implement and promote a culture of Risk based thinking To implement and promote a culture of Risk based thinking throughout the organization and to determine & address the risks and opportunities associated with providing assurance that the EHS system can achieve the intended outcomes, the Top management of TaeguTec established EHS Policy appropriate to the purpose and context of the organization it operates. This was established to support its Business Strategy.

The Policy is defined to establish a framework for setting EHS Objectives, its commitment in satisfying the applicable requirements of Statutory / Regulatory and all stakeholders and to provide an opportunity for continuous improvement. Taegutec India have ensured that the EHS Policy of the organization is made available as a documented information through the incorporation of it in Environmental, Health & Safety Management System Manual (EHSM) and communicated to all the employees of the organization through display in appropriate locations and handouts. The employees are made aware on the importance of the understanding and application of the EHS Policy in their daily work.

The EHS policy is reviewed for its continuing suitability in the Management Review Meetings which is conducted once in 6 months.

• Committed to prevent injury, ill health & all forms of Occupational health & Safety hazards associated with our Processes.

• Comply with all Global, National, Local legal & Regulatory requirements protecting the Environment, Human Health and Safety.

• Communicate our EHS commitment to our employees, suppliers, contractors and customers and make available to the public / interested parties on request.

• Drive Continual improvement in our EHS system performance throughout the organization by setting EHS goals, measuring progress towards these goals and reporting our performance of these goals.

• Provide training to employees to support compliance with this policy as well as our EHS standards, programs and practices through consultation and participation.

• Review the policy periodically for appropriateness.
