TaeguTec recognizes the value of upholding societal ideals and works extremely hard to support and cooperate with the local community. As a member of the local ESG consultative group along with local firms, public institutions, and social organizations, TaeguTec participates in the local community’s sustainable development and social contribution activities. Additionally, TaeguTec offers a range of assistance to less fortunate neighbors in vulnerable areas of the neighborhood.

In order to prepare young people to play important roles in the future of society, TaeguTec continues to organize comprehensive education programs and fairs related to a student’s major. TaeguTec undertakes many programs for the local youth, such as educational camps, school violence prevention, and road safety campaigns.

Culture and Arts Support Activities with Local Society

TaeguTec supports numerous projects with domestic and foreign organizations with the purpose of strengthening the local arts and culture while making it simpler for local inhabitants to access a cultural life. A sculpture show was sponsored by TaeguTec with the intention of reviving public art. Additionally, events were held for families, which included children’s plays and performances, as well as shows by top-notch dancers. TaeguTec is consistently engaged in the funding of local sports clubs.

We believe that human and environmental health are inextricably connected. Hence, no matter the season, TaeguTec’s campus wide botanical garden is gifted with various colorful flowers that mingle in unison with the overall landscaping environment – important factors that help to reduce air pollution, increase the richness of the soil, decrease water pollution, and promote a healthy work and recreational environment for employees and the surrounding residents.

GreenFleet and BreezyBus

With the purpose of reducing emissions caused by automobiles inside the 370,000 square meter TaeguTec headquarters, employees are encouraged to walk or use bicycles to commute longer distances within our campus. TaeguTec also operates a GreenFleet of electric automobiles to transport products safely and efficiently between buildings. Furthermore, the company runs the “BreezyBus” program of comfortable large passenger buses for its over 1,000 employees to commute to and from work. The popular corporate shuttle program helps to alleviate the daily stress of sitting behind the wheel, minimize the worry of parking, reduce fuel cost and traffic conditions, as well as contribute to a reduction of emissions.
